Senator Golden and Santa Claus to Host Christmas Tree Lightings

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden is inviting friends, families and neighbors to join him as he hosts three Christmas Tree lightings to help bring out the holiday spirit throughout the community.
Senator Golden stated, "During the Christmas season, and all year, residents of our community should join together in the Christmas spirit and exhibit good will to serve the most needy. These Christmas tree lightings will serve as occasions where all can come to embrace those values together and enjoy the warmth that this holiday brings as winter comes upon us."
The Christmas Tree lightings, which will feature Christmas caroling, hot chocolate and a special visit from Santa Claus, will take place at the following times and places:
Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
McKinley Park (Fort Hamilton Parkway and Bay Ridge Parkway)
Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
Lady Moody Triangle (Van Sicklen and Avenue U)
Monday, December 12, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
Fort Hamilton Memorial Triangle (95th Street and 4th Avenue)
Donations for Senator Golden’s annual Toys for Tots drive will be collected at the events. The Toys for Tots Foundation provides United States Marines the opportunity to bring the joy of Christmas to needy children. For more information, please contact Senator Golden’s office at (718) 238-6044.
