Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), who will be chairing the Minding Our Business!: Protecting and Supporting Latino Small Businesses at the Unidad Latina Legislative Conference being held today and tomorrow at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers in Manhattan, gave the following statement:
“I am looking forward to this conference, and to hosting the Saturday afternoon workshop Minding Our Business!: Protecting and Supporting Latino Small Businesses. We, as legislatures, need to do everything possible to make sure that all small businesses owners have every opportunity to sustain, grow, and continue to employ the working class New Yorker. Hispanic Americans are a vastly growing population in New York State, and we must work together to make sure that they have every opportunity to meet the needs, challenges, and aspirations of the growing Hispanic community.
“I want to thank Senator Skelos and the Hispanic Federation for hosting this event, and I look forward to an informative conference to help all Hispanic Americans continue to strive to make our state a great place to live, to work, and to raise a family.”
Senator Golden’s workshop will be held on Saturday afternoon, from 2 PM to 3:30 PM.
