As the father of three young children and the husband of a NYC school teacher I am shocked and heartbroken over the horrific mass murder at Sandy Hook Elementary School this morning in Newtown, Connecticut. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, most of whom were young children. There is never an answer for this type of senseless and depraved act of evil. At this time I ask all Staten Islanders and people of good will throughout the state to stand in support and pray for the victims and families.
