Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Long Island Cares recently joined together in sponsoring a free food and supply distribution program to help families recovering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy.
The program took place at Temple Sinai in Massapequa, where Senator Fuschillo and representatives from Long Island Cares gave out non-perishable food items, baby products, water, cleaning products, and houseware items to help residents in need.
“We wanted to bring this program into the community to help families still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy,” said Senator Fuschillo. “I thank Long Island Cares for once again working with us to provide this service to those in need.”
Residents who could not attend the program but are in need of assistance can call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630 or Long Island Cares at 631-582-FOOD.
