Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Assemblyman David McDonough (R-North Merrick) recently visited Fayette Elementary School to congratulate the winners of the annual “Keep A-Merrick-a Beautiful” environmental poster and essay contest.
The “Keep A-Merrick-A Beautiful” contest is a yearly event for schoolchildren in grades K-8 in Merrick and North Merrick elementary and middle schools which helps students learn about the importance of keeping their community and environment clean.
“Each of the students did a great job raising awareness about protecting our environment. I’m pleased to congratulate all of them on submitting such outstanding entries,” said Senator Fuschillo.
