NEW YORK -- Today, State Senator Daniel Squadron (D-Lower Manhattan) welcomed the recommendation of Dr. John Howard of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health to provide coverage for a number of cancers under the Zadrogra Act. Senator Squadron released the following statement:
"Today's recommendation follows years of painful debate over whether those potentially sickened at the World Trade Center site will have the health coverage they need and deserve.
"Now, our first responders will know that we have their backs after they had ours.
"Thank you to Dr. Howard and so many of my colleagues for standing up for what's right."
