Asks young artists, writers: “What are you thankful for this year?”
State Senator Patty Ritchie is inviting students in Central and Northern New York to put their art and writing skills to work for the New York State Senate’s “Thanksgiving Day Creative Celebration."
To participate in the program, students in grades K-6 must submit a one-page essay, original poem or artwork (8 ½ x 11 inches) that answers the question “What are you thankful for this year?”
All artwork, poetry and essays will be published in an online, free-to-download book; available on the New York State Senate website after the close of the program. Students will also receive a certificate from Senator Ritchie for participating.
Entries must be submitted electronically (click here to submit) by November 29th.
