Staten Island twins Joseph and Ryan Perrotta were born to SI PI Inspector Joseph Perrotta and his wife Kristie on July 3, 2013. At birth Joseph weighed 4 lbs. 5oz; Ryan 1 lb. 10 oz. After 5 days Joseph was able to go home but Ryan remained in the NICU, facing several challenges. He not only has a partially collapsed lung, but also fluid on the lung. Yesterday he had surgery and is stabilized for now, fighting to get better.
- What Ryan needs: O- blood (O negative) and any type platelets
- Ryan is at SI University Hospital North 718-226-9428
- Appointments are necessary, please call ahead and mention that the donation is for Ryan Perrotta
Even if you are not a match, every time you donate blood you save three lives.
Please keep Ryan in your thoughts with hope that each day brings him renewed strength.
