(Bronx, NY) – Senator José M. Serrano joined elected officials and community advocates for the BronxWorks renaming ceremony of their Grand Concourse community center. The facility, now named Carolyn McLaughlin Community Center, was renamed in honor of their former Executive Director 's 34 years of long-standing service. Senator Serrano applauded BronxWorks for the important work that it does for the local community.
“Year after year, BronxWorks has provided individuals and families endless support to improve their economic and social well-being,” said Senator Serrano. “From toddlers to seniors, they feed, shelter, teach, and support individuals to build a stronger community.
