Senator Serrano Writes letter to NYCHA Urging for Repairs at Mitchell Houses Senior Center

(Bronx, NY)- Senator José M. Serrano wrote a letter to the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) expressing his concerns with regards to the lack of repairs at Mitchell Houses Senior Center in the Bronx. Serrano visited the center in November of last year and noticed the concerning and hazardous large opening in the ceiling adjacent to the entrance, which was the result of water damage. Serrano urged NYCHA to take into consideration the health and well-being of the seniors at the center being exposed to these health hazards. See below for letter.
