Current deadline is 10:00 P.M. tomorrow, Saturday, April 13, 2013
Brooklyn, NY – New York State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I) is calling on both the Federal Emergency Management Agency and The Small Business Administration to extend the current deadline to apply for disaster assistance. Victims of Super Storm Sandy have until 10:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 to apply for FEMA aid and SBA loans.
“Residents of my district are still reeling from the effects of this storm. Many are still displaced, many are still suffering, many are still looking for places to turn for assistance,” stated Senator Golden. “We need to ensure that everyone who is eligible for assistance has applied and I ask FEMA and the SBA to extend the deadline so that they can accomplish this. We have a long road ahead of us, and ensuring that everyone has been given the proper assistance from the beginning is imperative."
