Senator Golden to Celebrate Asian Lunar New Year: The Year of the Snake

Brooklyn- Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) together with the Chinese American Partnership Inc., invite the community to join in celebrating the Lunar New Year, the 10th Annual such celebration, on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 2 pm to 5 pm at New Utrecht High School, located at 1601 80th St, in Brooklyn.
The celebration will include cultural performances, Lion Dance, Chinese opera, Gangnam Style Korean dance, performance of Broadway songs, singing and dancing, community information booth, and a small awards presentation. The performances scheduled will feature an array of talent, including professional, senior, youth and children. Admission is free to all.
The celebration has over 20 sponsors from the local business and individuals. In 2004, Senator Golden successfully promoted legislation to have Lunar New Year to be recognized by the State of New York.
Members of the media are welcome to attend.
