Statement From Senator Golden on the Extension of the Brooklyn to Manhattan Ferry Service
Martin J. Golden
August 21, 2013
Brooklyn, NY – Following reports that ferry service from the Brooklyn Army Terminal to Manhattan is being extended until January, State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I) issued the following statement:
“For years, ferry service has been a top priority for me, and I am happy to report that it looks like the Brooklyn to Manhattan Ferry is now set to run through January. This is not a permanent solution, but a step in the right direction, and will continue to provide an appropriate alternative while the R train remains under construction. I will continue to lobby for a permanent ferry for all of our residents, and I ask all members of the community to help increase ridership by telling their friends, neighbors, and family that the ferry to Manhattan continues!”
