Senator John J. Bonacic announces that the Town of Denning has been awarded $50,000 in funding from the Municipal Facilities Program.
The monies will be used to make necessary upgrades and repairs to the Town’s Highway Garage, including a new roof, replacing damaged ceiling panels, and installing cost-cutting insulation to windows.
“As we are trying to stay under the 2% tax cap, general budgets have been slashed which means some needed town repairs are put off,” said Denning Town Supervisor, David Brooks. “I would like to thank Senator Bonacic for advocating for these funds which will allow us to repair a leaking highway barn roof, replace damaged ceiling panels and insulate four windows. The taxpayers of Denning are very appreciative of these funds and the savings they will see from these improvements.”
“I am so pleased to help the Town of Denning make these basic improvements to their Town Highway Garage,” said Senator Bonacic.
