Senator John Bonacic (R/I/C – Mt. Hope) announces that the Town of Masonville will receive $50,000 in funding from the Municipal Facilities Capital program.
According to project details, the monies are needed to replace a plow truck/sand spreader, a purchase which will place the Town in a better position to keep roads safe next winter and beyond.
Says Town of Masonville Supervisor, Mike Spaccaforno, “The Town of Masonville is very thankful to Senator Bonacic for getting us this grant funding. We desperately needed a new dump/sand spreader for public safety this coming winter. In these hard economic times, these funds will reduce the tax burden on the citizens of our town. We are truly grateful.”
“I am pleased to help the Town of Masonville make this much needed purchase. Mother Nature was especially harsh this winter and this new plow truck with be able to help the highway department workers continue to do their job keeping the town roads safe,” said Senator Bonacic.
