Monies to go towards creating a new ball field, pavilion and the purchase and installation of playground equipment
Senator John Bonacic (R/C/I – Mt. Hope) announces that the Town of Wawayanda has been awarded $75,000 in funding from the State & Municipal Facilities Capital Program.
The funding will go towards building a baseball field, a pavilion, and the purchase and installation of playground equipment on a recently purchased parcel of land.
“The Town purchased 76 acres last May for the purpose of developing a new park in New Hampton,” said Supervisor John Razzano. “We thank Senator Bonacic for this funding to help us to start building this new park for our residents.”
“These new community parks will provide more opportunities for residents to come together and for families and kids to stay active,” said Senator Bonacic. “I’m pleased to be able to secure this funding for the Town.”
