Senator John Bonacic (R/C/I – Mount Hope) announces that the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision is seeking applicants to take the Civil Service exam for the position of Correction Officer, which will be held on January 20, 2015.
Deadline for filing for this examination is November 25, 2014.
Salaries begin at $39,794 for a corrections officer trainee, and after six months, the salary increases to $41,858. After successful completion of the one-year correction officer traineeship, the salary increases to $47,930 per year.
Interested persons may apply on-line or download examination information and applications at the Department of Civil Service website at www.cs.ny.gov/exams.
