Senator Golden to Host Town Hall Meeting Regarding Heroin and Prescription Drug Use in Community

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), a former New York City Police Officer, will host a community town hall meeting regarding the recent rise in heroin and prescription drug use, abuse and overdoses in his district, tomorrow, Thursday, February 27, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. at Public School 170, 7109-6th Avenue, Brooklyn.
Representatives of law enforcement and drug prevention service organizations will make presentations at the event to community residents. A question and answer session on drug use and how families are being affected will follow the presentations.
The town hall meeting is being co-sponsored by the Arab American Association of New York and the Yemeni American Association of New York.
