Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) is announcing his plans to host no cost mammography screenings in conjunction with The American Italian Cancer Foundation, on Monday, May 12, 2014, at his Bay Ridge office, located at 7408 5th Avenue in Brooklyn.
No cost mammograms will be available to women over 40 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. An appointment must be made by calling 1-877-628-9090.
Women interested in appointments must be over 40 years of age who live within Senator Golden’s district, and have not had a mammogram in the past year. While insurance is required, a limited number of appointments will be available on a first come, first serve basis to women without insurance.
Senator Marty Golden stated, "I am proud to partner with The American Italian Cancer Foundation to make available mammography screenings for women forty years and older. Early detection of breast cancer saves lives, and I encourage all those who have not had a mammogram in more than a year to make an appointment and to get screened.”
