Senator Marty Golden Urges You to Get Your Flu Vaccine Ahead of Winter Season

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that he is partnering with Coney Island Hospital to host a series of free flu shot events ahead of this Winter season for senior citizens, uninsured residents, and those who the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene are encouraging to get the annual influenza vaccine.
Free flu shots will be available to the community on:
*Tuesday, October 7, 2014, Our Lady of Grace Auditorium, 435 Avenue W
*Thursday, October 9, 2014, Bay Ridge Manor, 476-76th Street
*Friday, October 17, 2014, Carmine Carro Center, 3000 Fillmore Avenue
The free flu shot events are all scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. An appointment is necessary and can be made by calling Senator Golden’s office at (718) 238-6044.
Senator Marty Golden stated, “I am proud to again partner with Coney Island Hospital to make the flu vaccination available at no cost to residents of my district. I wish to remind everyone how important it is to get a flu shot so to keep from falling ill this winter. I look forward to joining my neighbors at these events and promoting good health in our community.”
