Senator Rev. Ruben Diaz and Assemblyman Marcos Crespo to Hold Tuesday Morning Press Conference At Site of Homeless Evictions

New York State Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx) and Assemblyman Marcos Crespo (D-Bronx) will hold a press conference on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 9:30AM at 941 Intervale Avenue in the Bronx to protest the 24-hour eviction of the building's residents who have been residing there in a "cluster" homeless shelter.

Senator Rev. Diaz stated: "It is an outrage that homeless New Yorkers in my district have been given 24-hours and two plastic bags to pack their things and leave. This is a most disgraceful way to treat people in need. We never expected this from this Mayoral Administration - never!"

Assemblyman Marcos Crespo stated: "We are calling upon all of our community leaders to stand with us as we cry out for justice for people in their hour of need."
