New York, NY – State Senator Brad Hoylman (D-Manhattan) said, “I applaud Public Advocate Letitia James for her work cracking down on illegal hotels and the unscrupulous landlords who run them. My district has one of the highest illegal hotel concentrations in the city, and it's despicable that these shady landlords fail to abide by basic fire, safety and zoning laws. I will continue to stand with my colleagues in government to protect the rights of New York City tenants and finally put an end to illegal hotels."
