Senator Jack Martins (R-7th Senate District) is reminding residents that they can sign up to receive email and text messages from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) alerting them that their driver’s licenses, non-driver ID cards, registrations or inspections are due to expire.
Drivers can sign up to receive the email and/or text alerts by visiting DMV’s website, www.dmv.ny.gov and clicking on the “sign up for text and email reminders for your registration and inspections renewals” box in the “features” section on the left side of the page. Residents can also enroll for the service at a DMV office counter or kiosk, or by mail when they renew their registration.
