Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District), in conjunction with the Integrated Medical Foundation and Shiel Medical Laboratory, recently sponsored a free prostate cancer PSA test program at the Westbury Library.
Men who participated in the program were able to receive a free PSA blood test, regardless of whether or not they had insurance.
Prostate Cancer is the one of the most common forms of cancer among men. According to the Integrated Medical Foundation, approximately 1 in 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime.
