January 28, 2015
Today, New York State Senator John J. Bonacic announced that the Education Investment Tax Credit (S.1976) passed the New York State Senate. This legislation would provide incentives in the form of tax credit for donations to public education entitites, school improvement organizations, local education funds, and educational scholarship organizations.
"As a co-sponsor of the Education Investment Tax Credit, I will be fighting to see this legislation included in the Budget to send a strong signal that in New York, every student deserves access to a first-class education and the limitless opportunities that come with it, said Senator Bonacic. "And, rather than being forced to simply lower their expectations, parents whose children are trapped in failing schools should have real options when it comes to furthering their child's education and securing their future."
