(Middletown, NY)-Senator Bonacic was privileged to attend the reopening and re-dedication ceremony of the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor this past Saturday in New Windsor. Senator Bonacic was joined at the ceremony by hundreds of retired and active duty servicemen and women, Purple Heart recipients, Gold Star Mothers, elected officials and members of the greater Hudson Valley community. Saturday’s ceremony was a culmination of a $2 million redesign of the Hall that took 5 years to complete. The re-dedicated Hall provides exhibits that appropriately honor the sacrifices of our nation’s brave Purple Heart veterans. Enhancements to the facility include new exhibits, video displays, and state-of-the-art technology.
