(Middletown, NY)-Senator Bonacic was joined by Orange County business leaders, elected officials and guests this morning at the Orange County Partnership’s 2015 Investor Breakfast at Falkirk Estates in Central Valley. The keynote speaker for today’s breakfast was Teddy Scott, Chief Executive Officer of PharmaCannis, a medical marijuana provider based in Illinois. PharmaCannis is in the process of building a medical marijuana facility in the Town of Hamptonburgh, in accordance with the Compassionate Care Act of 2014, which allowed for the legalization of medical marijuana in New York. PharmaCannis was thoroughly vetted by the New York State Department of Health, and earlier this year was awarded a license to grow medical marijuana, receiving the highest grade of any of the applicants statewide. During his speech, Dr. Scott discussed the economic and medicinal benefits of medical marijuana in New York.
