(Middletown, NY)-Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) has been named to the New York Farm Bureau’s “Circle of Friends”, for his advocacy on behalf of agricultural issues in the 2015 legislative session. The “Circle of Friends” distinction is based upon an individual legislator’s voting record on issues of agricultural importance as well as other evidence of legislative support, including sponsorship of bills that the New York Farm Bureau has either supported or opposed during the most recent legislative session.
“Farming is one of the most difficult and vital occupations in New York State,” said Senator Bonacic “I am proud to be honored by the New York Farm Bureau this year, as well as in the past, for my continued advocacy on behalf of farmers, and the agriculture industry in the 42nd Senate District and New York State.”
The New York Farm Bureau is a non-governmental, volunteer organization, whose purpose is to solve economic and public-policy issues facing the agriculture industry. For more information on the Farm Bureau’s “Circle of Friends” visit, www.nyfb.org.
