(East Harlem, NY) - Senator Serrano joined El Museo del Barrio, colleagues in government and the community in celebrating the 38th Annual Three Kings Day festivities in East Harlem. The annual celebration culminates in a parade in the streets of El Barrio, bringing together local residents, families, school groups and community organizations from all over New York City.
“The snowy weather could not stop the cultural gifts brought forth by the three honorary Kings of this year’s Three Kings Day Parade!” said Senator Serrano. “This annual celebration is a great display of our rich culture and it is important that we continue to pass down these traditions to the younger generations. Congratulations to this year’s honorary Kings, Debbie Quinones, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs Commissioner Tom Finkelpearl, and East Harlem's own Juan Gonzalez. Many thanks to El Museo del Barrio for continuing this wonderful tradition.”
