(Queens, NY) – Senator Michael Gianaris partnered with IDNYC to bring seniors access to IDNYC cards. The registration process allowed for seniors to apply for an IDNYC card and obtain appointments prior to visiting the Corona IDNYC Enrollment Center. IDNYC helps to serve those who may have difficulty obtaining other government-issued ID.
“The successful IDNYC program has proven to be a great way to provide New Yorkers with unparalleled access to all our city has to offer. I am pleased that I was able to help our wonderful seniors avail themselves of the benefits of this program.”
The IDNYC cards will help seniors to access services and programs offered by the city including museums and zoos. The ID can also act as a form of identification. Seniors who registered to obtain cards will visit the Corona IDNYC Enrollment Center on October 14th to finalize their request and become official IDNYC card holders.
