January 30, 2015
Senator Rob Ortt (R,C,I-North Tonawanda) issued the following statement regarding federal investigation reports against state Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos.
“Senator Skelos stated that the U.S. Attorney's Office hasn’t had any conversations with him,” said Sen. Ortt. “At this point, it would be inappropriate for me to speculate or comment, especially when charges have not been brought up and the basis of the story is a vague leak. As a new Senator, I'm committed to working with my colleagues to increase transparency and accountability for elected officials.”
