Sen. Valesky (back center) visited Frazer Middle School in Syracuse on Oct. 18, 2016 for Junior Fire Marshal Day, sponsored by The Hartford. The school and The Hartford, along with the Syracuse Fire Department, hosted a hands-on fire safety day that included a simulated fire and smoke demonstration, an opportunity to meet local firefighters, tour their fire truck, and try on gear. The Hartford’s Junior Fire Marshal program teaches lifesaving lessons such as Stop, Drop and Roll; Go Low in Smoke; Draw a Home Fire Escape Plan and more.
