Senator Martins Congratulates Port Washington Eagle Scout on Earning Scouting’s Highest Honor
January 14, 2016
Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District) recently congratulated Jack Fishman, a member of Boy Scout Troop 7 in Port Washington, for earning scouting’s highest honor; the rank of Eagle Scout. Senator Martins honored Jack on his achievement during his Eagle Scout Court of Honor, which was held at the United Methodist Church of Port Washington.
“It’s extraordinarily hard to earn this extraordinary honor; only four percent of boy scouts ever attain the rank of Eagle Scout. After years of hard work to meet the rigorous standards needed to become an Eagle Scout, and with the help and support of his family and his troop, Jack has earned a place among scouting’s most elite. Congratulations on achieving this prestigious honor,” said Senator Martins.
