Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District) recently held a community program in Great Neck to help local senior citizens protect themselves from scams and fraud.
Staff from the New York State Department of State’s Division of Consumer Protection discussed some of the recent scams targeting senior citizens and taught participants steps to prevent identity theft, protect their personal information, and avoid becoming a victim of fraud. Seniors also had the opportunity to ask questions.
Seniors who were unable to attend the program but would like information about how they can protect themselves from identity theft and scams can call Senator Martins’ office at 516-746-5924 or email him by clicking here.
