Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District) recently visited Kensington Village Hall to congratulate Police Chief Michael Conlon on his upcoming retirement and thank him for his 30 years of devoted service to the Village.

     Senator Martins presented Chief Conlon with a copy of a legislative resolution that the New York State Senate passed to recognize his three decades of service as a Kensington Police Officer.   With passage of the resolution, which Senator Martins sponsored, Chief Conlon’s name and record of service will forever be part of the New York State Senate’s official record.

     “Since his first day as a Kensington Police Officer on November 1, 1985, Michael Conlon has dedicated himself to protecting and serving the residents of the Village, and he did it with distinction,” said Senator Martins.  “As he begins this next chapter of his life, it’s important that we say ‘thank you’ for all that he has done on behalf of the Kensington community.  Congratulations to Chief Conlon on a job well done.”
