Senator Martins Participates in India Day Parade in Hicksville

     Senator Jack M. Martins (R-7th Senate District, pictured right) recently joined with members of the Indian-American community at the annual India Day Parade in Hicksville.

     The parade, which commemorates the anniversary of India’s independence, is an annual tradition which showcases the culture and heritage of the Indian-American community.  Thousands of people attended the parade to celebrate the many contributions Indian-Americans have made to our community, as well as our shared values of freedom and liberty.
