Ritchie Honors Jefferson County "Seniors Of The Year"

In a special presentation this week, State Senator Patty Ritchie recognized Watertown’s John B. Johnson Jr. and his wife Susan with her 2016 “Senior of the Year” awards for their many contributions to the North Country.
Former CEO of Johnson Newspapers and editor and co-publisher of the Watertown Daily Times, Mr. Johnson played an instrumental role in informing readers about important issues in our region. He continues to make a difference today, by giving of his time through involvement in various boards and other volunteer activities.
Mrs. Johnson is involved in a number of community betterment efforts, including Friends of the Flower Memorial Library—a group that aims to encourage members of the community to become involved in the library—where she serves as a director
