State Senator Tony Avella stood with Bayside residents to ask New York State Department of Transportation to extend the sound barrier on the Clearview Expressway. Residents want the barrier installed between 26^th Avenue and the Cross Island Parkway.

Senator Avella and residents claim the noise pollution from the Clearview Expressway significantly reduces the quality of life in the neighborhood.
