State Senator John A. DeFrancisco held his 13th annual Senior Fair on September 19, 2017, in the Horticulture Building at the New York State Fairgrounds. More than 120 vendors participated in the event, and nearly 1,000 seniors attended.  The event was free to the public. 

Senator DeFrancisco's Senior Fair press conference was held at 10:00 am and promoted the Onondaga County Sherrif Office's prescription drug take-back program. Sheriff Eugene Conway spoke about the importance of safely disposing of old or unused prescriptions. Collection bins for unwanted presciptions were located at the Senior Fair.
