"New York lost a true legend today. Denny’s life was about public service and through his service he made this state a better place to live.  Denny was a force in both government and politics and his leadership inspired so many including myself. Denny accomplished so much including authoring the landmark Consumer Protection and Banking Act and the Neighborhood Preservation Act which helped countless New Yorkers.  I was honored to call Denny a colleague but also a friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time but I know the memory of his great works will keep them strong."
