Senator Phillips' 'What Black History Month Means To Me' Program
February 28, 2018
Senator Elaine Phillips hosted a "What Black History Means To Me" art program during the month of February.
"Thank you to all the students who submitted artwork to our “What Black History Means to Me” program. Your work was outstanding and your creativity truly honors influential African-Americans and memorializes pioneers of the Civil Rights Movement, including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and Rosa Parks. We must continue to cherish the significant contributions to this country by the African American community – not just during the month of February, but year-round," Senator Phillips said.
