Senator Robach Raises Awareness to Help Fight Heroin & Opioid Addiction
September 18, 2018
The heroin and opioid epidemic is ripping apart families and communities throughout New York. I recently joined the Greater Monroe Recovery Community Organization to help raise awareness for this scourge and participated in their Flash Mob at the Rochester Public Market.
As a member of the original Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction, I have helped get new programs and treatment for people and families dealing with addiction. From more beds for treatment in Monroe County to greater coverage from health care providers and increased prevention efforts, this is an issue we are committed to solving so more families don't have to deal with the tragedy that comes with it.
