I met with advocates and representatives from Lifetime Assistance Inc to talk about #beFair2DirectCare, which would provide a living wage to the dedicated Direct Care Professionals who support those with developmental disabilities. As someone with a sister with a disability, I know firsthand how important Direct Care Professionals are to the people and families they care for. I have advocated for a wage increase for these dedicated professionals in the past and will continue to be a loud voice for them this year.
