Senator Helming Attends Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES PTECH Program Ribbon Cutting
October 8, 2019
Senator Helming recently joined staff and students of the Wayne-Finger Lakes Boces for a ribbon cutting of the Pathways Technology Early College High School’s (PTECH) new location in Newark. PTECH is now located next to Finger Lakes Community College campus so students may also attend classes they are currently enrolled in without having to travel far.
“It was so exciting to attend the unveiling of PTECH’s new location. The PTECH program is an amazing program that allows students to engage in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) based curriculum while taking part in workplace internships with businesses throughout the area. Students are able to apply their education in a real life setting while being trained for future jobs. I applaud all of the students, educators and administrators who are a part of the PTECH program for their hard work and I look forward to the program’s students someday joining our workforce,” Senator Helming said.
