From starting out as an educator to her twenty-five years in the state legislature, Senator Betty Little’s life exemplifies the meaning of public service.

Since I was elected to the Senate, Senator Little has been my mentor, colleague and trusted friend. She has been a vocal partner when it comes to fighting for issues most important to the hardworking people of the North Country. She is an outstanding example of the impact one individual can have when they seek to serve the public and make a difference. 

While I will certainly miss her when she is gone, I will be forever grateful for her guidance, wisdom, and grace.
