SENATOR HELMING TOURS LIVELY RUN
June 30, 2020
SENECA- Senator Pam Helming recently visited and toured Lively Run in southern Seneca County to learn more about their efforts to give back to the community through local food banks. Owned and operated since 1995, Steve and Susanne Messmer recently turned over the reins to the next generation, their two sons, Pete and Dave Messmer, and their new business partner, Katie Shaw.
“Thank you to Lively Run for the tour! Best known for their goat milk cheeses, Lively Run recently began crafting cheeses from dairy milk, using milk that would have otherwise gone to waste. They have then been distributing their cheeses to local food banks during the COVID-19 pandemic. I would encourage anyone who has not visited Lively Run to taste their cheese, play with the goats and meet their great team, to definitely consider making it a part of your summer plans!,” Senator Helming said.
