Photo caption: On Tuesday, August 2, Senator Anna M. Kaplan (D-North Hills) participated in National Night Out events in Manhasset, Port Washington, Hicksville, and Glen Cove. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing a true sense of community and providing an opportunity to bring neighbors and police together under positive circumstances.
Senator Kaplan said “National Night Out is a wonderful opportunity for our community to forge stronger bonds with our law enforcement and the many courageous first responders who serve our community with distinction. I’m so grateful for the dedicated service of all of our law enforcement and our first responders, and I want to thank the Nassau County Police Department, the Port Washington Police Department, the Sands Point Police Department, and the Glen Cove Police Department for making these wonderful events possible and keeping us safe every single day.”
