Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal (D, WFP), Chair of the NYS Senate Judiciary Committee, said: “The decision affirms what we said in our December 7, 2023 letter to NYS Board of Elections that Trump is an insurrectionist and ineligible for the presidency because of his actions on January 6.  

It’s incumbent on states to enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution and ban Trump from the ballot.  

I hope New York will be next.”
