The tragic shooting deaths of an Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputy and a Syracuse PD officer are a gut wrenching reminder of the courage and sacrifice of the brave men and women who put themselves in harm’s way in order to protect our communities. 

Our prayers are with the victims’ families and loved ones, and all the members of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department and the City of Syracuse Police Department who lost brave brothers last night. 

God bless these officers and all those who dedicate their lives to keeping New York safe.
