Senator Ryan Awards $95,000 to Local Libraries

State Senator Christopher J. Ryan (SD-50) today awarded $95,000 in total to nine libraries located in Northern Onondaga County. This funding was allocated by Senator Ryan through the Legislative Initiative Funding Program and all recipients are a part of the Onondaga County Public Libraries (OCPL) system.
“Our public libraries are community hubs where people of all ages can learn, connect, and access valuable resources,” said Senator Ryan. “From early childhood literacy programs to technology access and lifelong learning opportunities, our libraries provide services that strengthen our communities every day. I'm proud to secure this funding to help ensure our local libraries can continue serving residents and enriching lives across Northern Onondaga County.”
The funding awarded by Senator Ryan will go towards supporting the general operations of each library. The recipients of these funds include:
- Community Library of Jamesville & DeWitt- $15,000
- Fayetteville Free Library- $10,000
- Manlius Library- $10,000
- Maxwell Memorial Library- $10,000
- Minoa Free Library- $10,000
- Northern Onondaga Public Library Brewerton Branch- $10,000
- Northern Onondaga Public Library Cicero Branch- $10,000
- Northern Onondaga Public Library North Syracuse Branch- $10,000
- Salina Library- $10,000
The funding was announced at the Northern Onondaga Public Library Cicero Branch.
